Privacy Policy for Wealthio

Effective date: August 6, 2026
Last updated: August 6, 2026

Wealthio is a manual-first, multi-currency personal balance sheet application for iPhone. It allows you to record assets and liabilities, calculate your net worth, build a history of your financial position, optionally synchronize supported data through iCloud, and access subscription features through the Apple App Store.

This Privacy Policy explains how Wealthio handles information when you use the application, its Home Screen widgets, its optional iCloud synchronization features, and related support services.

In this Policy, “Wealthio,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Marcelo (Marc) Vitoria, the developer and publisher of Wealthio, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

By using Wealthio, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Privacy at a Glance

Wealthio is designed around the following principles:

  • Your financial records are stored on your device by default.
  • Wealthio does not require a Wealthio account.
  • Wealthio does not connect to your bank or automatically import bank transactions.
  • iCloud synchronization is optional and must be enabled by you.
  • When iCloud synchronization is enabled, supported records are stored through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services under your Apple Account.
  • Subscription payments are processed by Apple. Wealthio does not receive or store your payment-card details.
  • Wealthio does not sell your personal information.
  • Wealthio does not use your financial records for advertising.
  • Wealthio does not use third-party advertising SDKs or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
  • Wealthio does not intentionally send asset names, liability names, notes, balances, net worth totals, or historical financial records to analytics or crash-reporting services.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The Wealthio iOS application;
  • Wealthio Home Screen widgets;
  • Optional iCloud synchronization within Wealthio;
  • Wealthio Premium subscription and entitlement functionality;
  • Analytics and crash diagnostics generated through the application; and
  • Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us for support.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that Wealthio may link to or rely on. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

3. Information Wealthio Handles

3.1 Financial and Balance-Sheet Information You Enter

Wealthio allows you to enter and manage information such as:

  • Asset names and categories;
  • Asset values or cryptocurrency quantities;
  • Liability names and categories;
  • Outstanding liability balances;
  • Valuation and reporting currencies;
  • Optional notes or descriptions;
  • Net worth snapshots and historical values;
  • Dates and timestamps associated with records;
  • Currency-conversion and valuation metadata; and
  • Other information you choose to include in your records.

This information may be sensitive because it can describe your financial position. Wealthio processes it only to provide the features you request.

By default, this information is stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage technologies. We do not operate a separate Wealthio account system or a Wealthio-controlled server that receives and stores your financial records.

3.2 Preferences and Application Settings

Wealthio stores settings needed to provide your chosen experience, including:

  • Your selected reporting currency;
  • Privacy Mode settings;
  • iCloud synchronization preferences and status;
  • Subscription entitlement status;
  • Display and feature preferences;
  • Widget-related preferences;
  • Information needed to maintain compatibility with earlier purchases; and
  • Technical metadata needed to manage local records and synchronization.

These settings may be stored locally, in shared app storage used by the Wealthio widget, or through Apple services where needed to provide a selected feature.

3.3 Optional iCloud Synchronization

Wealthio Premium may allow you to enable iCloud synchronization. When you enable it, supported information may be stored in and synchronized through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure. This may include:

  • Assets;
  • Liabilities;
  • Net worth snapshots;
  • Record identifiers;
  • Creation and modification timestamps;
  • Deletion and synchronization metadata;
  • Currency and category information; and
  • Other metadata needed to merge changes and keep supported devices consistent.

iCloud synchronization is associated with the Apple Account signed in on your device. Wealthio does not require a separate username or password.

The purpose of this processing is to:

  • Keep supported Wealthio records synchronized across your devices;
  • Restore synchronized records when you use Wealthio on another eligible device;
  • Detect and resolve changes made on different devices;
  • Retry interrupted synchronization; and
  • Maintain a local-only fallback when iCloud is unavailable or synchronization is disabled.

Apple processes iCloud data under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. We do not use your iCloud-synchronized financial records for advertising, profiling, or data brokerage.

3.4 Subscription and Purchase Information

Wealthio offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Apple processes subscription purchases and payment information.

Wealthio may receive or process limited purchase information required to provide Premium access, such as:

  • The subscription product selected;
  • Purchase and transaction status;
  • Whether an entitlement is active;
  • Subscription expiration or renewal information;
  • Whether a plan change is pending;
  • Restore-purchase results; and
  • Information needed to recognize eligible earlier purchases.

We do not receive or store your full credit-card number, bank-account details, or other payment credentials. Subscription management, billing, cancellation, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

3.5 Analytics Information

Wealthio may use Firebase Analytics to understand general application usage and improve reliability and usability.

Depending on the Firebase configuration and device settings, analytics information may include:

  • Application version;
  • Device type and operating-system version;
  • Country or coarse region derived from network information;
  • Language and general device settings;
  • App launches and session information;
  • Interactions with application features;
  • Subscription-screen or feature-access events;
  • Technical identifiers generated by the analytics service; and
  • Other aggregated or pseudonymous usage events.

We do not intentionally include the following information in analytics events:

  • Asset or liability names;
  • Notes or descriptions;
  • Account or institution names entered by you;
  • Asset values or liability balances;
  • Net worth totals;
  • Historical snapshot values; or
  • Other content from your personal balance sheet.

Analytics information is used to understand feature performance, identify usability issues, measure application stability, and guide product improvements. It is not used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3.6 Crash and Diagnostic Information

Wealthio may use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and technical failures.

Crash and diagnostic information may include:

  • Application version;
  • Device model;
  • Operating-system version;
  • Time and technical circumstances of a crash;
  • Error logs;
  • Stack traces;
  • Memory and process information;
  • A crash-installation identifier;
  • General application state relevant to diagnosing the failure; and
  • Other technical diagnostics supplied by the operating system or Crashlytics SDK.

We do not intentionally include asset names, liability names, notes, balances, net worth totals, or historical financial records in crash logs. However, you should avoid including sensitive financial information in text fields if you later choose to reproduce an issue and send screenshots, recordings, or logs to support.

3.7 Currency and Cryptocurrency Market Data Requests

Wealthio obtains exchange rates and cryptocurrency market prices from third-party data providers, including CoinGecko for supported cryptocurrency prices and Exchance Rate API for currency rates.

When Wealthio makes these requests, the provider may receive technical information normally associated with an internet request, such as:

  • Your IP address;
  • Request date and time;
  • Application or API information;
  • The requested currency pair or cryptocurrency identifier; and
  • General network and device information made available through the request.

Wealthio is designed to request public market data only. We do not intentionally send your asset names, liability names, notes, balances, net worth totals, or cryptocurrency holdings to market-data providers.

Market-data providers process information under their own privacy policies and terms.

3.8 Support Communications

If you contact us, we may receive:

  • Your name or email address;
  • The content of your message;
  • Screenshots, screen recordings, logs, or files you choose to provide;
  • Device, operating-system, and app-version information;
  • Purchase or subscription details needed to investigate an issue; and
  • Any other information you voluntarily include.

Please do not send complete financial records, passwords, payment-card details, or information unrelated to the support request.

We use support information to answer your request, investigate technical issues, improve Wealthio, prevent abuse, and maintain records of our communications where reasonably necessary.

3.9 Information We Do Not Request

Wealthio does not require or request:

  • Online-banking usernames or passwords;
  • Bank-account login credentials;
  • Brokerage login credentials;
  • Government identification documents;
  • Credit-card numbers;
  • A Wealthio account password;
  • Access to your contacts;
  • Precise location;
  • Health data; or
  • Access to transaction feeds from financial institutions.

4. How We Use Information

We use information handled through Wealthio to:

  • Provide and maintain the application;
  • Save and display your balance sheet;
  • Calculate assets, liabilities, and net worth;
  • Convert displayed values into your selected reporting currency;
  • Create and present net worth history;
  • Provide Home Screen widgets;
  • Enable optional iCloud synchronization;
  • Process, restore, and verify Premium entitlements;
  • Support subscription plan management;
  • Maintain compatibility with eligible earlier purchases;
  • Diagnose crashes, bugs, and performance issues;
  • Understand general, non-financial usage patterns;
  • Respond to support requests;
  • Protect the security and integrity of the application;
  • Comply with legal obligations; and
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use your financial records to make lending, insurance, employment, credit, or other eligibility decisions.

We do not perform automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

Performance of a Contract

We process information when necessary to provide Wealthio and features you request, including local record management, subscriptions, entitlement verification, widgets, market-data updates, and optional iCloud synchronization.

We rely on your choice or consent where appropriate, including when you enable optional iCloud synchronization, voluntarily contact support, or enable features that require a specific type of processing.

You may withdraw consent by disabling the applicable feature or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Legitimate Interests

We may process limited analytics, diagnostic, support, and security information to:

  • Maintain and improve Wealthio;
  • Diagnose technical problems;
  • Prevent fraud or misuse;
  • Protect users and the application; and
  • Understand whether features operate as intended.

We balance these interests against your privacy rights and minimize the information used.

We may process or retain information when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

6. Local Storage, iCloud, and Device Backups

6.1 Local Storage

Your financial records are stored on your device by default. They generally remain there until you delete them, reset the application’s data, or uninstall the application.

Uninstalling Wealthio normally removes locally stored application data from that device. However, information may remain in device backups, iCloud synchronization storage, or another device where synchronization previously occurred.

6.2 iCloud Storage

When you enable iCloud synchronization, supported records may remain in your private iCloud storage until they are deleted through Wealthio or through Apple’s iCloud data-management options.

Turning off iCloud synchronization:

  • Stops Wealthio from continuing normal synchronization on that device;
  • Allows Wealthio to continue operating with local data; and
  • Does not necessarily delete information already stored in iCloud or on another synchronized device.

Deleting a supported record while iCloud synchronization is active is intended to propagate that deletion through iCloud to other synchronized Wealthio installations. Synchronization may be delayed when a device is offline, iCloud is unavailable, or Apple services are interrupted.

Uninstalling Wealthio from one device does not necessarily delete records already stored in iCloud.

Because synchronized records are associated with your Apple Account and stored through Apple’s infrastructure, we may not be able to directly access or delete those private records on your behalf.

6.3 Device Backups

Depending on your iOS and iCloud settings, Apple may include local application data in device backups. Backup creation, retention, encryption, and deletion are controlled by Apple and your device settings.

7. Home Screen Widgets and Privacy Mode

Wealthio may provide Home Screen widgets that display financial information or a summary of your financial position.

Widget information may be visible to anyone who can view your device’s Home Screen, subject to iOS security, device-lock, and widget settings. You are responsible for deciding whether a financial widget is appropriate for your device and environment.

Wealthio’s Privacy Mode is designed to obscure or hide certain values in the user interface. Privacy Mode affects presentation only. It does not:

  • Delete the underlying records;
  • Disable iCloud synchronization;
  • Remove information from backups;
  • Prevent all operating-system screenshots or previews; or
  • Provide separate encryption beyond the protections supplied by iOS, your device passcode, and Apple services.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may disclose limited information in the following circumstances.

8.1 Service Providers

We use third parties to provide specific technical functions:

Provider or category Purpose Information potentially processed
Apple App distribution, StoreKit subscriptions, entitlement management, iCloud/CloudKit synchronization, device backups, and operating-system services Purchase status, technical identifiers, iCloud records when sync is enabled, device and service information
Google Firebase Analytics General usage analytics and product improvement App interactions, device/app metadata, pseudonymous identifiers, general region
Google Firebase Crashlytics Crash reporting and diagnostics Crash logs, stack traces, device/app metadata, diagnostic identifiers
CoinGecko Supported cryptocurrency market prices Requested asset identifiers and ordinary network-request information
Exchange Rate API Currency exchange rates Requested currency pairs and ordinary network-request information

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. They are permitted to process information only for their applicable services, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request;
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Wealthio, our users, or the public;
  • Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Because we do not operate a server that stores your local financial records, we generally do not possess those records for disclosure. Records stored in iCloud are subject to Apple’s systems and lawful-request procedures.

8.3 Business Transfers

If Wealthio or substantially all related assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer, limited information under our control may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or provide valid consent.

9. Advertising, Tracking, and Sale of Data

Wealthio does not:

  • Display third-party behavioral advertising;
  • Sell personal information;
  • Sell financial information;
  • Share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • Use advertising identifiers to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies; or
  • Provide your balance-sheet information to data brokers.

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain any permissions required by law or Apple policies before the change takes effect.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Financial Records

Local financial records remain on your device until you delete them, reset the app’s data, or uninstall Wealthio. Records synchronized through iCloud remain subject to your deletion actions, synchronization state, Apple Account settings, and Apple’s retention practices.

Subscription Information

Subscription and transaction records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s legal and operational requirements. Wealthio may retain or cache limited entitlement information for as long as necessary to provide Premium access, restore purchases, resolve plan status, and meet legal obligations.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Analytics and crash information is retained according to our configured Firebase settings and only for as long as reasonably necessary to understand usage, diagnose issues, improve the application, and protect security.

Support Communications

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as needed to resolve the request, maintain a history of the issue, prevent abuse, satisfy legal obligations, and improve support. We may remove or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.

We may retain limited information longer when necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, or defend legal claims.

11. Deleting and Controlling Your Information

11.1 Delete Individual Financial Records

You can delete assets, liabilities, and supported history records using Wealthio’s available controls.

When iCloud synchronization is active, supported deletions are intended to synchronize to other devices. A deletion may not appear immediately on offline devices.

11.2 Disable iCloud Synchronization

You can disable iCloud synchronization from Wealthio’s sync settings. Wealthio will continue to function locally, subject to the features available under your plan.

Disabling synchronization does not necessarily delete existing iCloud records. You may need to delete records within Wealthio while synchronization is enabled or use Apple’s iCloud storage-management settings.

11.3 Delete Local Application Data

You can delete individual records in Wealthio or uninstall the application to remove its local application container from that device. Uninstalling does not necessarily remove synchronized iCloud records or copies contained in Apple-managed backups.

11.4 Manage Subscription Information

You can manage or cancel Wealthio Premium through your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.

11.5 Analytics and Diagnostics Controls

Certain analytics and diagnostic processing may be affected by your iOS privacy and analytics settings. Where Wealthio provides an in-app analytics control, you may use that control to change your preference.

11.6 Contact Us

You may contact us at contact@marcelovitoria.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we directly control, such as support correspondence.

We may need to verify your request. We cannot provide or delete information that we do not possess or cannot access, including private records held solely on your device or in your private iCloud account.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we control, including the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information;
  • Obtain information about how it is processed;
  • Request access to or a copy of it;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion;
  • Request anonymization, restriction, or blocking of unnecessary or unlawfully processed information;
  • Object to certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent;
  • Request portability where legally applicable;
  • Receive information about entities with which information has been shared;
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

These rights are subject to legal limitations and may not apply to information stored only on your device or in your private iCloud account where we do not have access.

12.1 Brazil

If Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD) applies, you may exercise the rights provided under the LGPD, including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking, deletion, portability where applicable, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent.

You may also lodge a complaint with Brazil’s Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).

12.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may complain to the data-protection authority where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred.

Where information is transferred internationally, service providers may rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.

12.3 California and Other United States Jurisdictions

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information controlled by us, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.

Wealthio does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

13. International Processing

Apple, Google, market-data providers, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we and our providers use appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards for international processing.

Your financial records remain local by default. When you enable iCloud synchronization, Apple determines the infrastructure and locations used to provide iCloud services under Apple’s applicable terms.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to Wealthio’s architecture, including:

  • Local processing where practical;
  • Apple-provided application sandboxing;
  • iOS device-security protections;
  • Apple CloudKit and iCloud protections for optional synchronization;
  • Encrypted network connections where supported;
  • Data minimization;
  • Restricted use of financial content in analytics and diagnostics; and
  • Regular maintenance and security updates.

No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining a secure device passcode, protecting your Apple Account, installing operating-system updates, and controlling who can access your device.

Wealthio is a personal record-keeping tool and is not a secure vault for passwords, bank credentials, private keys, seed phrases, or identity documents. Do not store those items in Wealthio.

15. Children’s Privacy

Wealthio is not directed to children under 13, or to children below the minimum age at which they may legally consent to the processing of personal information in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a Wealthio account system because Wealthio does not provide such an account system.

If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support request, contact us at contact@marcelovitoria.com so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Wealthio may link to or rely on third-party services, including Apple, Google Firebase, CoinGecko, and the applicable exchange-rate provider.

We do not control their independent privacy practices. You should review their privacy policies and account settings before using their services.

Relevant provider information includes:

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

  • New or changed Wealthio features;
  • Changes to iCloud synchronization or subscriptions;
  • Changes to analytics, diagnostics, or service providers;
  • Legal or regulatory developments; or
  • Security and operational improvements.

We will post the updated policy at https://www.marcelovitoria.com/ and revise the “Last updated” date.

For material changes, we may also provide notice in Wealthio, in App Store release information, or through another appropriate method before or when the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Wealthio after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated Policy applies to your subsequent use, subject to any consent requirements under applicable law.
